How did you become involved in football and when?
I can’t actually remember not playing football and I started playing in a team at primary school at the age of 7 before moving to my first club Wem Town Girls at the age of 9 and have been playing ever since then.

What is your memorable achievement in football to date?
This would be my first season in women’s football in 2000-2001 playing for Shrewsbury Town Women’s Youth, where I was also part of the Shropshire Under 16’s schools team that won the National championships where we played at Ewood Park in the final and I ended that memorable season by gaining an England Trial at Under 16 level.

What is your role within Suffolk FA?
My role is within the football development team and specific to girls and women’s football and involves developing girls and women’s sections of the clubs within the county as well as trying to increase the number of players and teams as well as reducing the barriers to participating.

What is the biggest challenge within your role?
Trying to raise the profile and improve the image of the girls and women’s game as well as addressing the drop out rate within the game.

Who is your favourite team?
Wrexham! My first memory of them was listening to the radio when Mickey Thomas scored that oh so famous free kick against Arsenal and I have been attending matches since the age of 6 and the club are now a part of me!
