How did you become involved in football and when?
Having watched my Dad playing for Framlingham Town for many years, my enthusiasm for the game quickly saw me sign for the legendary Syd Vice’s Framlingham youth team, although it was long before the days of mini-soccer, as I clearly remember being 9/10 and playing on a full size pitch, with full size goals!!
What is your memorable achievement in football to date?
Several spring to mind, I captained Framlingham U14s to a league/cup double, have scored a 10 minute hat-trick for my school against our most bitter rivals, played a senior match in the same team as both my dad and brother and more recently scored a hat-trick of penalties in one match.
What is your role within Suffolk FA?
My role is to manage and oversee the Governance Team who are responsible for the running of the game aspects of CFA business, such as disciplinary, county competitions and representative teams.
What is the biggest challenge within your role?
To provide the large army of volunteers who are the lifeblood of grassroots football with a professional and personal service, giving them the tools to enable them to fulfil their respective roles as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Who is your favourite team?
Ipswich Town. They did win the UEFA Cup when I was a toddler, sadly something I can not remember and will most likely never ever see again!
